The Sacramento Gay Men’s Chorus Student Scholarship is a perpetual annual award designed to uplift LGBTQIA2+ seniors through financial support for college
SCUSD Seniors. Performing Arts. LGBTQIA2+.
Eligible applicants are graduating seniors at any SCUSD high school who were active in the performing arts and identify within the LGBTQIA2+ community. Applicants must have an overall cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher, with no grade below a C.

This scholarship reflects SGMC’s mission to build a welcoming community for LGBTQ+ people and allies through music, performance, and advocacy.
2026 SGMC Scholarship Program I…
$1,500 award. Clear requirements. District managed.
Award: One scholarship of $1,500 (perpetual award), managed by SCUSD. Application requires: a typed student essay (750 words or less) addressing educational/vocational goals and how funds will be used; two letters of recommendation (one from a teacher/administrator and one from outside the school); an unofficial transcript (including first semester of senior year); and college enrollment verification/acknowledgement. Application window runs Jan 5, 2025 through Apr 10, 2026.
